Full & Partial Denture Options

Dentures are removable dental appliances that replace missing teeth and the surrounding tissue. They are designed to closely resemble your natural teeth and may even enhance your smile.

Complete or Partial Dentures?

Complete dentures are used when all of the teeth are missing, as they replace all the teeth in either the upper or lower jaw.

Partial dentures are used to fill in the gaps left by missing teeth when some natural teeth remain, keeping the existing teeth from shifting out of position over time.

Complete dentures may be either 'conventional' or 'immediate'.

Conventional dentures are made and fitted after any teeth that remain in the mouth have been removed and the gum tissue has healed. This usually takes 4 to 6 weeks.

Immediate dentures are made in advance to extraction and and immediately placed after the teeth are removed. The benefit of immediate dentures is that they prevent the patient from having to be without teeth during the healing process.

Once the tissues shrink and heal, the dentist will make adjustments to the denture to ensure a snug, comfortable fit.

Whatever your teeth replacement needs, the Registered Denturist at Clover Hills Dental can help restore the appearance and function of your smile.
