The First Dental Checkup
We recommend that parents bring their children in for a visit with the dentist at the first sign of the first tooth, or around the time of their first birthday.
This early initial visit is an opportunity for the dentist to diagnose, monitor and more effectively treat any issues that may be developing.
Frequency
Just like adults, children need to visit the dentist every 6 months for a routine check up and professional cleaning. The dentist may recommend more frequent visits depending on your child's unique needs.
